Hi, I was under the impression you couldn't keep that many males together because they fight? How do you manage to make it work please? I've been keeping them 1 male to 5 females. Thanks
yes males fight if left together after 6-7 weeks of age, when they enter sexual maturity. We cull at this age or slightly before for our freezer.

yes we feed an organic feed that is 26-27% protein, as well as the grasses they are on, and fruits and veggies we put in there. Our hens are always larger for sure, but the males are at their mature size at 6-7 weeks - we do jumbo brown coturnix

Everything I've read says chikecherry stones contain cyanide, but this can be broken down by cooking. Are these patties cooked at any point to remove the cyanide?
air dried, preserve for long storage - when you use them you cook them into a hot cereal

there is no bedding in the tractors other than the back area - we pull them every 2-3 days so they are on fresh grass
What are you grinding? Looks like frozen something. I grind my own dog food. Am considering getting into quail due to the quick turnaround, but unsure how that would compare to chickens. Also raise rabbit for food.
This recipe contains - beef beef tongue beef liver beef kidney bone meal summer squash raspberries quail eggs (no shell) we feed our quail carcass whole to our dogs - they love that !
